Babies have their own natural appeal – they don’t need ridiculous bows or big flowers stuck to the sides of their heads to make them cute. They don’t naturally spend time in flower pots, vintage luggage or hammocks.

A key rule of portraiture is to exclude or de-emphasise anything that distracts from the subject. When you view these “contemporary” styles, consider what grabs your attention – is it really the baby or is your eye continually drawn to the huge pink thing stuck to her head?

We’ll keep it simple and elegant when we record the memories of your baby. We only need your baby, you and your partner (because that’s all that matters) – we don’t need props to capture those special memories. Each of our baby shoots is a unique experience – there is no standard script, the shoot flows as your baby allows. Of course there are some classic shots that we’ll want to capture, but there are no rules to follow. We don’t limit the time we take and if we don’t get the results we want then we just try again.
